It is time for the star of the family to shine! The 2009 Open Hearts Pet Photo Contest will be held at the Nature Coast Pet Expo held Saturday and Sunday on March 15th & 16th at Tom Varn Park in Brooksville. The winning pet photos will be the ‘Stars’ of the 2009 Humane Society Open Hearts Calendar. Your pet can be 1 of 2 stars of the month or possibly the “Cover Pet” of the 2009 Humane Society Open Hearts Calendar. The following are the rules of entry:
1. Entry fee is $10.00 per photo (regardless of how many pets are in the photo).
2. You can enter as many photos as you like.
3. Photos must contain pets only – no people.
4. All photos will be displayed at the 2008 Pet Expo, Saturday & Sunday, March 15th & 16th.
5. If photos are digital they need to be a minimum 300 dpi for printing purposes. If you are unsure of photo resolution, please E-Mail bill@ctsfla.com.
6. Photos can be entered 3 ways by email, posted mail, or at the shelter.
a. Photos must be received by Thursday, March 13, 2007.
b. Photos can entered at the Pet Expo but it could be a disadvantage in the voting process.
7. Upon successful upload and verification by Humane Society staff, an E-Mail invoice will be sent to the E-Mail address specified above.
8. All employees of the Humane Society of the Nature Coast, Inc. are ineligible.
9. Voting will end at 2pm, Sunday at the Pet Expo and winners will be notified.
10. There will 25 winning photos selected. Two winners will represent each month of the year and one will be selected for the cover of the calendar. Every photo entered in the contest will appear on the 2009 Open Hearts Calendar entry pages.
11. Winners will be chosen by a vote of attendees at the Pet Expo at $1.00 per vote. Voters may vote more than once.
12. Photos will be displayed without names, with owners of winners announced after voting is concluded.
13. The Humane Society of the Nature Coast, Inc. reserves the right to disqualify any photos deemed inappropriate for this event and the entry fee would be refunded.
14. All photos become the property of the Humane Society of the Nature Coast for promotional purposes to benefit the homeless pets of our community.
